Tech Tuesday: Pinterest

Tech TuesdayLast year I discovered Pinterest, and realised it was exactly the type of social network that was missing from my life. I love pretty things, cool things, new things; from wanting cake pop decorating ideas (hello, muppets) to needing some infographic inspiration, Pinterest was the virtual pinboard I needed to visually save thoughts, ideas and inspirations.

Although initially the domain of soon-to-be brides, amateur bakers and beauty-holics, last week TechCrunch named Pinterest as the best new startup of 2011. Over the past week Pinterest related posts have popped up across the blogosphere, with every industry asking what Pinterest can do for them. Living Life in Canada Water

Life in Canada WaterUntil 9 months ago I commuted to our South London hub in Southwark from Kent, which made for a long commute and a long day, especially on the days

I wanted to go out after work – its never fun having to run for the last train home!  It was time for a change of location.  Working in the property industry I obviously researched plenty of areas and what they had to offer in terms of value for money and local amenities, and Canada Water was an area I kept coming back to.

I definitely made the right choice, and whether I have to go to our developments in Southwark or Canary Wharf (or even North London) commuting is much easier.

The Jubilee Line takes me straight to Central London, and the new London Overground means the fantastic bars and restaurants in Islington and Shoreditch are only a short ride away. Because the Canada Water area is really well-lit, I feel safe coming home late at night which was a requirement of mine!
